CASE COMPETITIONS
PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
The competition allows students to get hands-on experience as portfolio managers using a top-down approach in an environment that closely simulates real world challenges.
Each team is tasked with analyzing the macro-economics and capital market landscape, and design a long-only ETF portfolio, given risk-adjusted return objectives.
PRIVATE EQUITY
The competition introduces students to private equity investment evaluation. Teams are expected to perform in-depth analysis of the investment opportunity and structure the transaction to maximize return potential.
The top teams will present their pitches to a panel of industry professionals in the Finals, followed by an award ceremony and networking reception. The judges will talk about their comments and provide feedback on the presentations.
SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENT
Co-organized with Rotman's Women in Investment Management (WIMA), the case competition invites students to design an investment portfolio product, with an Environment, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) theme, taking into accounting the target clientele's profiles and marketability of the product.
EXTERNAL CASE COMPETITIONS
